Linde's versatile hydraulic motor

Motors convert the fluid energy back into mechanical energy. The energy is converted to rotational torque.

Conventional motors are normally classified into one of four types:

            Low Speed High Torque (LSHT)

            High Speed Low Torque (HSLT)

            Low Speed Low Torque  (LSLT)

            High Speed High Torque (HSHT)

The two most common types are LSHT (Radial or Orbital) and HSLT. Thus axial piston units e.g. Linde are HSLT - High Speed Low Torque motors, but …..

Linde is filling the gap

Linde hydromotors have an extended application range. See the picture below how Linde fills in the gap between LSHT and HSLT.

Except the fact that high speed motors can be applicated in LSHT (low speed, high torque) by a combination with a planetary gearbox as a torque multiplier/speedreducer, there is more…..

As a single hydromotor the conventional application range can be extended into lower revolutions! Linde as a high revolution motor has a Low Speed concept…  and can work as LSLT (low speed, low torque) motor as well!

Torque is a function of pressure (and speed is a function of flow).

These values are theoretical without the mechanical efficiency.

With linde’s through drive technology single motors can be assembled into a tandem-motor working as a HSHT - high speed high torque motor! For high power applications with continuous duty our standard range from 28 cc till 280 cc can be extended by summation of single displacements as torque is required. (see the possibilities till now in our table below)

In a nutshell: a wide range of applications.

Select for both open -and close loop systems:

  • for regulable motors choose HMR
  • for variable motors chooseHMV
  • for fixed motors choose HMF
